Mary Beth McDonnell

Founder, MS, RD, LDN

I am the owner of MBC, which I started 14 years ago after 8 years in hospital dietetics (pediatric and adult), 2 years of educational program development for the NC health department, and 3 years working in a clinic that catered to morbidly obese individuals.

I have been a registered dietitian for 35 years, and I have a passion for helping people develop healthy eating habits so they can feel better about themselves. I listen to my clients’ unique needs, and I develop personalized nutrition plans based on their goals – improving nutritional intake, preventing the development of chronic disease, or to address a condition they have.

I feel strongly that physical activity plays an important role in your health and well being. I have been a runner for years, and have completed 9 marathons and several half marathons. I have a physically active family and enjoy running with my three adult children. I also enjoy yoga and pilates.
